Solar street lights offered across Camposol

Excess solar-powered lights are being offered across the entire Camposol urbanisation following successful installations in sectors C and D.

Camposol residents who are still dealing with dark streets and faulty lamp posts may now have an opportunity to get them fixed after Mazarrón Council announced it has a number of spare solar-powered street lights available for installation.

The offer follows a recent initiative aimed at tackling one of the urbanisation’s most persistent complaints, the lack of working street lighting on some public roads.

According to local representatives, the issue was raised with the council by a resident several months ago. Although the local authority does not currently have the resources to carry out a full upgrade of the lighting network across the entire urbanisation, it was able to offer a limited number of solar-powered replacement units.

The lights were initially installed in sectors C and D, where reported faults have now been addressed. With some units still available, the scheme is being extended to the rest of Camposol, including sectors A and B.

Councillor for Camposol, Carmen Navarro, is asking residents to report any remaining non-functioning street lights on public roads so they can be assessed for replacement while stocks last.
