Camposol Hub has been live for a month today!
We have been overwhelmed with the responses so far from our loyal advertisers, local residents, people interested in Camposol in general, and lots of holiday home owners. After just over four weeks we can confirm we have had over 1,300 visitors and 8,700 page views, which is a great start.
Since July 1st we have listened carefully to both the advertisers and the general public, and have already made a few changes that were suggested. After all, this is a community website.
Camposol weather, a currency conversion table, and live updates on flights arriving and departing from Corvera airport are now at the top of the home page. Many people told us it takes them three separate apps to gather that information, so we have put it all in one.
We have changed a couple of key tabs which your feedback told us were a bit confusing. The old Explore tab is now called “Directory”, and the old Discover tab has been replaced by “Community”, as those names reflect the sections more accurately.
Many of you will remember this column from my time on a local magazine, and the advertisers liked it. When out and about, I simply report back about my experience with an advertiser. The first one was on The Salon on Sector A. There will be more to follow, especially as I want to try a Camposol paddle board.
We have added a new section under the Community tab called “Guidance”. This is where our community minded residents who want to help really can. You will see posters there in multiple languages about the correct way to dispose of rubbish, garden waste, furniture and more. We hope to add to this section over time, once a consensus of opinion has been agreed.
We have added a news section that includes general news and customer featured news. This area is for any paying customer who wishes to tell us something. It can be anything, from revised summer opening hours to a big office move, such as the one in progress right now with Freedom Mobility, Mister Print and Taquilla Tickets over on Sector A.
We have also added a new section for frequently asked questions, or FAQs, which you will find under the Community section. These are questions that are so regularly asked, usually by newcomers to the urbanisation, that we intend to fill in the blanks where we can. We start with “why are there no clothes shops or taxis on Camposol?”
Much of this information has been gathered over the years, not just by us but by people who have first hand knowledge. Jackie Drewe is a great example of this, having been heavily involved with the CRA and Preguntas y Mas, and we know the information provided is accurate. Jackie is a very welcome contributor to the site.
While we will not get directly involved with politics, there are plenty of Facebook groups to air those grievances, we may know some of the answers and will do our best to help.
The website will continue to evolve, and we intend to keep the content fresh by updating it continually. The next feature to be added is that paying advertisers will be able to promote special offers to attract more customers. These offers may be in the form of a free bottle of wine with a meal for two, a percentage discount off a bill, a free ticket on a trip if you buy more than 20, a free dental check up, or an eye or hearing test. The options are endless. There is already a new email address set up for this, offers@camposolhub.com. Offers can be a real voucher, or a promotion code that is quoted when taking advantage of them.
We thank everyone for their feedback, and we are pleased to now be receiving new photos for our galleries, so please continue to send them. The photos in the gallery were a good starting point, but we know there are several semi professional photographers here, so please keep them coming.
More next month.
