About D Sector Community Group
The Camposol D Gardening and Community Group, founded in 2009, is a volunteer organisation that improves the environment and social life on Sector D of the Camposol urbanisation. Its mission is to beautify, clean and maintain the communal areas of Sector D for residents and visitors. Often described as Camposol's very own Wombles, the group take great pride in keeping the sector clean, green and welcoming.
Relying on community-funded resources and volunteers, the group carries out general gardening, weeding, landscaping and environmental improvements, keeping members active and building community spirit. They meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays for a couple of hours to tackle whatever project is needed.
Each year the group organises a range of events for residents, including the D Street Party, the Summer Ball and a Christmas carol service. It is part of the wider volunteer effort across all four Camposol sectors to enhance living standards and foster a strong sense of community.
