Paws and Snores Dog Social Club

I have been going to the Paws and Snores Dog Social Club since it started back in March 2024 in a rented field near El Paretón. Run by Deanna Fitzmaurice, the club moved to new premises on Camposol Sector B in February 2025 and has gone from strength to strength.

The times vary, according to the time of year and the weather, but regular announcements posted on the Hub and the Paws and Snores Facebook group are always up to date. There is also a private WhatsApp group for the regular members.

The exercise area is gated and securely fenced and there is plenty of parking. There are tables and chairs, dog treats, some agility equipment and water on site. You just have to trust me when I say that it can get “messy”! There are even basic tea and coffee making facilities, so we can all enjoy a nice cuppa made by the lovely Deanna.

The cost per session is only 5 euros. What a bargain that is for a good hour’s solid entertainment.

What is on each week

Monday evenings are for dogs both large and small, but they are a fairly enthusiastic and boisterous group who just love to play. The group is made up of lovely sociable dogs and owners who know each other well now, and I think we all look forward to Monday nights as much as the dogs.

Wednesday evening is for puppy club and for more timid dogs that may find Monday’s a bit overwhelming. The exercise area is also available when not in use for private hire, so please ask Deanna for more details.

Thursday nights are “free” at the moment. If anyone needs any special help on a one to one basis, be that for medication or some help with basic training, please call Deanna to discuss.

How you can help

Paws and Snores are always grateful to receive donations of dog treats (they get through a few!) and garden furniture, and as the site is “off grid”, if people could sometimes remember to bring a big water carrier, they would be very happy.
