Camposol Free Community Sports Street Party Raises €2,020

Camposol Free Community Sports held their fundraising Street Party on D7, Calle Nogales, on the 19th of September.

The weather held out after a cloudy start and the turnout was excellent. A great number of people came along with their picnics, tables and chairs, and the atmosphere buzzed with chatter and laughter.

The organisers made sure everything was in place for the evening, arranging portaloos, lighting and all the licences.

The music was supplied by HDNA Rock and DJ Chris Petty, who did a wonderful job entertaining the crowds with classic and new songs alike. It was great to see everyone dancing and singing along to “Sweet Caroline”.

The raffle was a huge success. One lucky winner took home a hamper, and the many prizes on offer raised an amazing €700.

Several community groups had a table to tell people about their local services, including Age Concern, MABS, Chatterbox, Camposol Hub, Senior Badminton and, of course, Camposol Free Community Sports.

The feedback has been wonderful, with everyone who attended agreeing it was a great community event that brought locals together in the fresh air. In total the evening raised an incredible €2,020 including the raffle, a fabulous bonus for the group.
