Camposol Clean & Tidy: a new volunteer group making a difference

A new volunteer group is making a real difference to Camposol. The Camposol Clean & Tidy Group is a team of residents who have come together to improve the look and feel of their shared community.

It began simply, with neighbours keeping their own bin areas clean and tidy. That soon grew into something bigger, as they came to understand the challenges of living in a large community and wanted to take pride in their neighbourhood, whichever sector people live in.

Over the summer they worked tirelessly behind the commercial centre in Sector B, filling a whole skip with debris and rubbish, then clearing the pavements and grass verges of years of accumulated litter.

On Wednesday 16 September, seven volunteers cleared the approach road to the golf course in just two hours, a mammoth task. They swept the pavements, cleared the verges and picked up the glass that had been littering the road. The difference made in only two hours was staggering.

Lend a hand

If you would like to help, the group meets every Wednesday and works from 9am until 11am. Details of the next location to be cleared are posted on the local Camposol Facebook groups every Monday morning.

This is a truly invaluable Camposol service, and the whole community is grateful to everyone who gives their time to keep our streets looking their best.
